The Community Centre at Toynbee Hall has a full schedule of free and inclusive social, physical and learning activites as well as regular celebration events.

The Befriending Service

If you are experiencing loneliness, or want to make a new friend without leaving home – our befriending project might be for you. The project brings together people with shared interests for a regular conversation over the phone.

Linkage Plus is a project for people over 50 living
in Tower Hamlets that is based in five centres across the borough; Age UK East London, Neighbours in Poplar, Peabody at Sundial, Sonali Gardens and Toynbee Hall.

Our outreach staff visit sheltered schemes, GP Surgeries, One Stop Shops and other local sites to offer help, advice and support ot even just a friendly chat.

We can also help with information about pensions and benefits to help you stay indepenent.

Support the Wellbeing Centre

Through supporting the Wellbeing Centre you will enable isolated older people to build social connections, stay healthy, and learn new skills.
