Legal employment advice, that I could not afford, helped me submitting paperwork in time to the court. The advisor was very helpful and didn’t mind spending extra time to finish the work. I felt supported and relieved. Toynbee Hall is a great place and find for me that I wasn’t aware of. Thank you!”

I can’t thank you enough for your kindness and assistance. I have so much going on in my head at the moment, as well as managing my loved ones fears, that all this paperwork and wondering how I will manage financially is somewhat scary. I wonder if you know how valued you are to all you help?”

Community

Our Community Centre is a welcoming and friendly place for poeple to keep warm, have a cup of tea or coffee. We connects people to classes, fun activities, social events and practical support. Play sessions for young children, yoga and singing for older people, and a food co-op for families to get cheap, healthy food are just a handful of things we offer through an average week.
Our youth programme When We Speak, is a radical leadership programme that platforms youth voice and power. In the last year we have worked with young people from the local area, aged between 15 – 25 and supported them to explore, imagine and articulate visions of change for themselves and their communities. We have also worked with local people to explore their own heritage on their terms and facilitate community ownership of the histories that are explored.

When I retired a few years ago I didn’t quite know what to do with myself. I didn’t know these places existed. I am glad that I have somewhere to go and meet people and I enjoy the activities. I also know that I have someone to turn to if I need support or advice” somewhere to go and meet people and I enjoy the activities.
