Toynbee Hall Launches Groundbreaking Money Coaching Service for NHS Staff at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust
Toynbee Hall is proud to announce the launch of a brand-new Money Coaching Service in partnership with Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. This innovative service, supported by Guy’s & St Thomas’ Charity, provides free, confidential, and expert financial advice to help NHS staff manage and overcome money-related challenges.
The service was officially launched at a ceremony held at Guy’s Hospital, where Lawrence Tallon, Deputy Chief Executive of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust, gave a speech and cut the ribbon to mark the occasion. The event, attended by 150 staff members, celebrated this groundbreaking new initiative to support the financial wellbeing of NHS employees.
The service is available to all 22,729 employees of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and offers a range of comprehensive support options for those facing debt, financial instability, or simply in need of financial guidance.
What the service offers:
- One-to-one confidential advice: Staff can access personalised debt advice through video advice kiosks, available daily from 8 am to 8 pm, or attend face-to-face drop-ins at their hospital site.
- Telephone and WhatsApp support: For quick queries or follow-ups, staff can reach out via phone or WhatsApp during the same hours for accessible and convenient advice.
- Financial education workshops: Monthly group sessions are available, covering various financial topics to empower staff with the knowledge to manage their finances effectively.
What to expect:
- Confidential and non-judgmental support: Advisors are trained professionals offering empathetic, discreet, and tailored advice for every individual’s specific financial situation.
- Ongoing support: Beyond the initial session, the service includes follow-up advice and continuous support to help staff achieve long-term financial stability.
Staff can begin using the service by searching for ‘financial advice’ on GTi, the Trust’s staff intranet, or by contacting 0800 808 5694 via telephone, text, or WhatsApp.
