LEAVE A GIFT IN YOUR WILL

Leave your mark for the next 140 years and give people living in the East End an equal chance to thrive

A gift in your will can help somebody living in the East End escape the cycle of poverty. Every day, more and more people in Tower Hamlets are finding it difficult to cope with the pressures of debt and legal troubles. These pressures affect the wellbeing of those directly invovled as well as the wider community.

A gift in your will can give the next generation a better future.

I don’t understand the difference between the types of gifts – can you help me?

A residuary gift is a share of the balance of your estate once all other payments have been made. For example, you could pledge 1% of your estate to Toynbee Hall. A pecunicary gift is a fixed sum of money that does not change. A specific gift is an item such as personal possessions, land, buildings or shares. For example, you could pledge a painting to Toynbee Hall.
