Free Advice

Free advice

Our advice is free, confidential and easy to access. You can speak to us over the phone, by email or you can drop in to the Advice Centre, Monday to Friday between 10am-4pm (closed between 1pm-2pm for lunch) for an Initial Assessment.

Initial Assessment

To book an appointment,  your matter will need to be assessed by the Initial Assessment team. They will conduct an assessment of your matter and determine whether it is related to an area of law the Free Legal Advice Centre can assist you with. If not they will endeavour to find an appropriate agency to help you with your matter.

How we’ve helped others

Here’s what our clients have had to say after receiving advice from us:

I just can’t fault them, they are so helpful, and remain open and welcoming when I come back for advice on different things. It’s a great service. I don’t know where I’d be without it.”

Arthur

City Advice client

The moment I spoke to an adviser at Toynbee Hall they believed me and didn’t doubt me. One advisor gave me lots of moral support and the other solved all my problems. They took me out of the darkest place in my life”

Sarah

Free Legal Advice Centre client

Thank you so much for your support. You gave me the chance to learn and to do things myself. You treated me with a lot of respect. When I came to you I felt alone, and was terrified I was going to lose the house. Now I feel I can manage all of the household finances and I don’t feel scared anymore.”
