The Regeneration Photo Blog: An Introduction
By Graham Fisher, Chief executive, Toynbee Hall
We have been planning our regeneration project since I joined Toynbee Hall 8 years ago. Now it is finally upon us there is a mixture of both excitement and anticipation. Moving our staff and services into temporary premises at the start of 2016 was a significant milestone and soon we will see the result of years of planning start to take shape as the contractors take over and the work on site commences.
For over 130 years we have recorded, photographed and written about the activities of Toynbee Hall and our archive collection is full of historical documents that track our history and preserve our heritage. I am therefore delighted that Keith Greenough has agreed to help us to record the regeneration project in this photography blog. The blog will provide a month by month account of the project and the people involved in it and will provide a lasting record of the work done to preserve our buildings and redevelop our estate.
