Lunch Club and Day Centre
2 million pensioners in the UK are living in poverty today. Many of the older people who attend our services are isolated, living alone in estates or tower blocks. This, combined with increased life expectancy, ensures that frailty and poverty still prevail amongst pensioners. Our work at Toynbee Hall is therefore vital, now and in the future.
Through a range of social and creative activities we counter social isolation by providing companionship and support services and by promoting health and wellbeing.
Our centre provides lunch daily Our integrated services, ever respectful of ethnic needs, deliver a comprehensive care and advisory centre to benefit pensioners across the borough.
