Graduate Intern Placements
The Graduate Intern Placements Programme works with undergraduates and unemployed or underemployed graduates to engage in structured volunteering opportunities that will develop employment and life skills.
In addition to undertaking a voluntary placement, candidates receive one-to-one support from Way to Work Advice & Guidance Consultants to help plan a forward career path, and support them into employment.
Who can apply:
To apply for the programme you have to live in London, be a graduate or undergraduate, have recourse to public funds (ie you cannot be in the country on a student's visa) and genuinely want to move into employment in your chosen field.
We recruit for every role separately and you will have to go through a competitive, Equal Opportunities recruitment process. Please always refer to the person specification while completing your application.
Benefits:
- We aim to provide the best of experiences with a specific focus on skills development. All placements are assessed on the basis of suitability for graduates and volunteer gains before we decide to offer them.
- Each volunteer will receive at least six hours of mentoring, support and on-the-job training whilst on placement.
- The Way to Work will provide additional employability support including one-to-one support from Advice & Guidance Consultants.
- We will cover your travel and lunch expenses and the Way to Work will
pay a completion bonus of £50 to each candidate on completion of at least 112 hours of placement.
How to apply:
Please complete the Graduate Intern Application Form and send it to volunteering@toynbeehall.org.uk with your recent CV before the closing date.
