  • Initial Assessment Volunteer

    • Hours: Flexible

    We are looking for law students to initially assess our clients advice needs. Toynbee Hall provides a range of services. One of our aims is to give free, independent and quality assured advice to members of the local community who are most in need of it. To achieve this Toynbee Hall’s Advice Centre is dependent on the generous contributions of volunteers.

  • Admin and Customer Care Volunteer

    • Hours: Monday to Friday

    Do you want to make a difference to the people who use our services? You will be providing administrative support who are often in a desperate situation.

    • Hours: Days to be discussed

    Toynbee Hall is so much more than a building. It is an organisation that throughout its 134 year history has always been a force for positive change, giving individuals, families and communities facing poverty and social injustice, practical help to take on those challenges and shape their own futures. Our work aims to bring people together, offer new opportunities and create a greater sense of community. We work with people young and old to help them find their voice and deliver their own projects.

    • Salary: £35,294 per annum

    Toynbee Hall is a charity where people come for excellent local services and where they can share ideas and experience, gather information and knowledge that we use together to take action to change lives and eradicate poverty. Our programmes include free advice services, financial inclusion services, wellbeing services, including work with older people and community learning services supporting young people and new migrants.

  • Make Moves Volunteer

    • Hours: Ideally volunteers will commit to a minimum of 3 days

    Remember the nerve-wracking first day of secondary school? Make Moves is an exciting project that introduces year 6 students transitioning to secondary school to their new classmates through an action-packed day of outward bound activities.
