Kids Go Caving

Date: 12 May 2018

Time: 11am - 4:30pm

On Saturday 12th May we're opening the new indoor cave built by the young people on Make it!

Will you brave the cave?

Make it! is Toynbee Hall's project for 12-13 year olds. We offer young people an opportunity to make lasting change in their community while developing their critical thinking skills. This year 36 students from 3 local schools will build an indoor cave at Mile End Urban Adventure Base (UAB) in only 3 days.

Over the past month we have been fundraising to bring the cave to life. We successfully raised £15,600 which is enough to build the cave. We move on to phase 2 which is fundraising for the safety equipment.

In order to raise this money we will invite pledgers from phase to come down and explore the cave! alongside other energetic activities led by Soul. We will also provide healthy drinks and snacks to keep energy levels up.

This event is split in to 2 sessions

11:00am – 1:30pm – Years 3 & 4

2:00pm – 4:30pm Years 5 &6

We will have plenty of staff around but we do ask that parents stay close by or alternatively they can get involved. We ask for a 'pay what you feel' donation for each child taking part, made via Spacehive* and you can make your donation here now.

You can find the cave at Mile End Adventure Base, 150 Burdett Rd, London E3 4JT

Any questions please email Youth@toynbeehall.org.uk.

*Please note Spacehive is a crowdfunding website, you will be asked to set up a one off Direct Debit. As If we don’t hit our target we don’t receive any of the money, and the event will not go ahead.

Look forward to seeing you!
