Proms at St Jude's Music and Literary Festival 2017
Date: 24 Jun 2017 – 02 Jul 2017
A community festival of music and culture taking place in Hampstead Garden Suburb
This is the 25th year of the Proms at St Jude's festival of music and culture. This community festival for the family offers daily concerts from national and internationally renowned artists, free lunchtime recitals, a Literary Festival and Heritage Walks.
Proms a St Jude’s is a significant and long-term supporter of Toynbee Hall’s flagship youth programme Make It!
Last year, Proms at St Jude’s raised an exceptional £45,000 in support of Make It! which has transformed the lives of many young people in Tower Hamlets. Find out more about Make It! and their recent community project.
The music programme is designed to cater for a wide range of tastes, with a focus on classical and jazz. The festival attracts world class artists for the evening concerts and supports rising talent in the free lunchtime concerts. There will also be support on offer for young up and coming musicians.
The Literary Festival Weekend
The Literary festival takes place at Henrietta Barnett School on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25th June and includes a dazzling array of top authors and celebrity guests. Find out more details on the Proms LitFest
Each day during the eight day festival, expert guides will be leading a series of Heritage Walks to explore some of the City's history and culture. Tickets must be booked in advance.
All surplus funds from the festival go to charity. Three pounds in every four pounds raised go towards Make it! our in-school mentoring programme that aims to engage vulnerable children at risk of social and academic exclusion.
It is strongly recommended to book tickets online in advance. To find out more information on exactly what's on offer, download the full festival programme and to book tickets go to www.promsatstjudes.org.uk.
