Youth projects

We’ve worked with young people in our local community for over 100 years, working  in a range of  innovative new ways

to improve wellbeing and develop new skills.


Research and Evaluation have been part of our identity since we were founded in 1884. Our research focuses on issues related to poverty, social and financial inclusion and wellbeing.

Financial health

Through the Financial Health Exchange, we work to improve the financial health of people in the UK. we help policy makers and practitioners create more financially inclusive environments.

Our venues

Our Grade II listed building is now available to hire. Our historic building has been a hub for social action since 1884 and could be the perfect venue for your event.

Our new permanent exhibtion is now open

A new, free exhibition located in our newly renovated Toynbee Hall building is now open to the public every weekday between 11am and 3pm on the third weekend of each month.

Unfortunately, we will not be open on Sunday 17th as a result of scheduled building works.

Toynbee Hall: A Powerhouse for Social Change tells the stories of social action from the world’s first university settlement.
